The Frame
Klein Gradient aluminium frame with TIG-welded construction. A road racing geometry with carbon fork for responsive handling and compliance. Classic Klein bright-coloured aesthetic from the early 2000s racing era, finished in a striking silver gradient.
Klein Aluminium
Gary Klein pioneered oversized aluminium tubing in the 1970s when the cycling world dismissed the material as too harsh. His large-diameter, thin-walled tubes proved lighter and stiffer than steel — a philosophy that reshaped modern bicycle design and became the industry standard.
About Klein
Klein was an American bicycle manufacturer that pioneered the use of large-diameter aluminium alloy tubing to create frames of extraordinary stiffness and remarkably low weight.

Market Notes
Klein Quantum Race bikes are collectible American-made aluminium frames from the late 1990s/early 2000s. Pre-2002 models (before the Trek acquisition) are considered "true Kleins" and command premiums among collectors. The distinctive gradient paint jobs and oversized aluminium tubing are iconic. Klein ceased production and the brand has strong nostalgic appeal.
